HERITAGE ESTATES MILL POND RICHMOND HILL TORONTO
This Georgian architectural community and executive family lifestyle in the Heritage Estates enclave of the Mill Pond area of Richmond Hill is truly unique. No other neighbourhood is even remotely similar anywhere else in Toronto, Canada or the world.
In 1986, seven quality home builders were contracted to design and construct a collection of Georgian homes on the former lands of the Richmond Hill Golf & Country Club. During the following 5 years they crafted over 700 homes on lots of 50 x 115' in a network of Grand Avenues, Crescents and Cul de Sacs adjacent to two sides of the beautiful Mill Pond Park.
In order to keep the overall elegance and distinction of this prestigious community, homeowners were required to maintain the original colour schemes of the exteriors well into the 1990's.
One of the perks of buying these homes was that the "Initiation Fee" for joining the Richmond Hill Golf or Country Club was waived for the original and subsequent homeowner in Heritage Estates who purchased Philmor Goldplate Homes.
In addition to designing internal walkways to connect Heritage Estates with other adjacent park networks, the area features their own tennis courts, local daycares, several kids playgrounds, beginner hills for snowboarding, ice-skating, local artists' studio, the Satya Yoga Centre and a health spa.
Two local public and a Catholic school serve kindergarten to grade 8 students. There are organized baseball and soccer clubs that use their facilities.
Heritage Estates floorplans feature designs for Family Lifestyles, Entertaining Lifestyles or a mix of Lifestyles. The builders created over 80 floorplans to meet every need. The complexity and diversity of these homes makes each property very special.
Surprisingly, few Torontonians are aware of this vibrant community located in the N/E quadrant of Bathurst St. and Major Mackenzie Drive. The local GO Train services wisk commuters into downtown Toronto in less than one hour. Express bus services connect to the Toronto subway system in about 35 minutes. Within 10 minutes, drivers can access major highways, including: 404, 407, and 400. This makes travel within the GTA or North to Georgian Bay, Muskoka and Haliburton recreational areas an easy drive.
Other amenities include: the York Region Hospital, Richmond Hill Library, French Immersion schooling, respected Private Schools, Churches, Synagogues, Dance Schools, Riding Academies, Hockey Leagues, Gymnastics Clubs, etc. Local shopping caters to the tastes of local homeowners.
